Public Relations & Communications Assistant – Entry Level
We are an event marketing and fundraising firm that partners with nonprofit organizations to create live campaigns, community events, and public outreach initiatives. We’re currently hiring a Public Relations & Communications Assistant to support in-person communications, public engagement, and event-based messaging.
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals interested in public relations, communications, event marketing, and nonprofit fundraising. No prior experience is required — paid training and mentorship are provided.
Role Overview
As a Public Relations & Communications Assistant, you will support face-to-face communication efforts at live events, community outreach programs, and fundraising campaigns. This role focuses on verbal communication, public interaction, and brand representation — not digital or print media.
Key Responsibilities
Communicate nonprofit missions and campaign messages at live events and community outreach locations
Support public-facing messaging during fundraising and awareness campaigns
Assist with event coordination, messaging flow, and on-site communications
Represent nonprofit partners and client brands in a professional, engaging manner
Collaborate with event marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging
Gather public feedback and insights to support campaign improvement
Participate in training focused on public speaking, communication strategy, and leadership

Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Confident, outgoing, and comfortable engaging with the public
Interest in public relations, communications, nonprofit work, or event marketing
Coachable mindset and eagerness to learn
Team-oriented, reliable, and professional
18+ and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
